Cocos Island

Cocos Island was my favorite stop because it was so serene and untouched. Pure jungle, mist, drops of water, bird calls, and green greener than the all greens. I felt bad taking pictures in the jungle, because it was so full of life, and without humanities interruptions. I hiked straight up a ridge on the beach side of the island, it was a hands and knees hike for awhile, then the slope leveled out and I began to see the undisturbed beauty around me. I reached the top of the ridge and dropped down into the valley, and all noises from the ship and humanity dissappeared into the drip drip of the leaves, and call of the birds. I saw some wild boar and that made me pretty nervous, so I bailed out and went back down. But I want to go back to that place of peace, and expirence unblemished nature again.

These birds flew around my head the entire time I was hiking, making weird bird calls. It was kinda eery.

This picture is at the top of the ridge looking across the island from the direction I came, It was a lot farther than I thought. Shortly after this I saw some boar.
