The mighty sea

The sea is a marvelous place, but at the same time it is terrible and full of empty rage. Storms and squalls are raised up out of nothing. I saw more lightning in one week out at sea coming north from chile, than i had seen in my entire life. And that was only one week. The beauty and clarity of the stars is unsurpassable. Sunsets and sunrise blend together with the day in their own splendor of light. And on an occasional day the sea and the sky become one great depth of blue light.
