Chile

Upon our arrival in Chile I saw a sunrise that blew my mind. Down there the Andes mountians are so tall that as the sun rose it generated a shadow in the sky of one of the taller peaks. It was like a dark cone in the sky which by the way was sorounded by a so much color and light, I cannot fit it into simple words. The first picture was before the sun came up I put my camera away so it would not get broken during linehandling as we layed up alongside the pier. But I watched the full sunrise, and I realized how few I have seen all the way through, I have seen the sun come up, and see it rise in the sky, and I have seen the light growing in the deep east as the sun starts to climb. But very few times have I been able to see it all the way from the pale beggining to... well... to where it continues it's journey through the sky.
The port city we went to was one of much hussel and bustle, but there were quieter parts, and older parts, which is what interested me and my camera. Unfourtunately there was no surf to catch here, but I had fun walking around and exploring a place like none I had ever been to before. The people in Chile are very european and there was a lot of emo kids too. I was darker than a lot of the natives which tells you something about the climate down there. It was actually very similar to San Luis.
