Skaggs Island

Pictures from Fort Croncite, a surf spot just north of the Golden Gate bridge in the Marin Headlands state park. Its a great spot, but it can be very bowly and slabby. It was big on thursday and even bigger on friday. Fun waves, water up the nose.

I took these pictures on a short weekend surf trip up the 1 towards Fort Bragg, we stopped our travels at Point Arena. After spending the night camping for free in the campground at Gualala we headed south and surfed at this spot called Omars, shown in the pictures of the sunset and the little kids. Good trip, cold water, heavy waves.
