sailboat

My friends and I recently acquired a sailboat. It is a 22 foot Catalina. It Cost 100 dollars, and zero cents. We are stoked. I took a picture of a cleat.

Look closely at this picture, I know it is off center and stuff, but notice how the bow pulpit is very clear and crisp in the foreground, and everything else is out of focus. I didn't mean to do that, but it is kinda cool.
An asthetic place, lots of sounds, mumbles and groans from worn dock boards, chirps and twitters from pooping birds, grumbling motors, and distance cries from the seagulls.

Montana de Oro and other places

These pipes were about a foot too small in radius to be skate-able. But it was worth a try and a picture.

This picture with the tower is one of the coolest pictures I have seen for awhile, the way it is set up with the tower in the foreground and SLO in the background is really cool. Too bad I can't take credit for it, I think Andy Boutte took it.
The Panorama picture was my attempt at a stich assist photo, you take a series of pictures and then your computer stitches them together for you.
Oh... and that picture were I am clinging to that tree, did no harm to the tree, and in fact I survived too, tree topping, it should be in the olympics.

backpacking East Cuesta ridge

These are various pictures from our overnighter out in the new growth evergreen forest of east Cuesta ridge. It was a very beautiful trip. The views from the top of the ridge before you get into the tree line are absolutely amazing on a clear day. You can see the entire stretch of the pismo dunes, the pier at Port San Luis, the sand spit and Moro Bay.
