burns, the marks left behind

he didn’t really fall, nor even really jump. it was more like a tree leaving its stump. it doesn’t know the difference between axe or wind a tree merely falls on the ground and that’s the end

Seaworthy

So I got fed up with working on my boat for a few days, then leaving, and coming back a year later to have to work on some of the same stuff again. All the while getting no closer to launching it. So yesterday I worked on it all day and got it done enough to launch. I chucked (gently) it onto the top of my truck and toted it to port San Luis (thanks mom for the gas money). Then my dad and I picked it up and put it in the drink. Mom took pictures and offered advice. It floated, quite well. I stepped in it and felt it flex, but to my delight it held my weight, he weight of an outboard, and my dad. It it moved through the water fairly well with the little 4 horse screaming its guts out. The boat is light and tender in the water, it feels like a canoe, and I feel it would move well under oar power. Boat I will spare myself that expense for now as I will be leaving for Hawaii on monday. No name for her yet, let me know if you have any ideas for names.
